Another new one here.

I suppose I should start at the beginning, I don't like snakes. There I said it, can't take it back. However, having met my friend's Royal Python about two months ago I instantly fell in love with them. Don't like his cornsnake, they are everything I dislike about snakes. The fast, skittish movement. All of which you don't get with the Royals. They are ever so friendly.

At the time my other half was spending three weeks back home with her parents in Poland, so I told her about how lovely this snake was and that I wanted one. Not a chance! I explained to her that if she met her she'd see how different to other snakes they are. I once met a snapping, hissing boa that put me off large snakes and thought that Royals would be the same. She wan't interested in the slightest. Anyway, when she came home I did manage to introduce the two of them and after about 5-10 mins they got on like a house on fire. Won over by her charm, I thought a few more meetings would allow me the opportunity for my own. Still no.

Another friend of mine is a reptile food salesman and he goes around pet stores teaching them how to look after reptiles correctly as a lot of them give people who know no better false information, as they themselves have been given. His house is full of all manner of stuff that he gets given, stuff to try and therefore recommend to pet stores. Vivs, bulbs, supplements, you name it his loft is full of it! So he said I can have a setup for £20 and he'd get me an ikkle baby. My friend with the royal says I can keep it there for now. Girlfriend ok with that! Apart from when I keep telling her that it is just for now. She's been put off because her new friend hasn't eaten for 3 mths and thinks she'll get bitten.

Anyway, to the end of the story, I was supposed to get it Thursday, bit of a delay and it is now due Tuesday. Will let you know when it arrives.
