Posted - 13/10/2010 : 23:24:00 Hi all. My name is Chris and have just joined the site. This is my first Python and in fact my first snake.
I just wanted to introduce myself and say hello and any info or help would be appreciated.
Thanks for now and look forward to talking to you all and my antics with my new friend, who is called Monty. I know very original. |

Posted - 15/10/2010 : 21:53:39 Hi guys thanks for the help. Ye spoke to the guy at the shop I got Monty from and he said he would sex he/she for me. And he said the same about the movements. Looked at a common boa female at the pet shop today and it looked like a large cat had been in and done a crap in its tank. It didn't look like it was a fully grown one either!
Just got myself a Mexican red knee tarantula today, not sure about picking it up yet!
Thanks again guys. |

Posted - 15/10/2010 : 20:11:23 Hi, I've just put my first post on without reading yours and our first royal is also called Monty (I blame the toddler!) We get him next weekend. I hope ours doesn't save his up and produce anything a big as our rottie's dumps! |

Posted - 15/10/2010 : 18:50:09 Yeh nothing unusual as Bob said Royals can save it all up till they shed, just count yourself lucky that he/she fed for you without problems. I've had my latest two for three weeks (Doncaster bought) and they've not looked at food...... |

Posted - 15/10/2010 : 02:01:21 Welcome to the forum Chris, With regards to movements yeah thats normal, Mary has gone 6 weeks or so between before now so that's nothing to worry about, with regards to sexing you'd need to get him/her probed, I got mine done for free at the shop I bought her from. |

Posted - 14/10/2010 : 22:59:12 Hi again. Thanks for the welcomes. I guess the first little question I have is that I have had my python about three weeks now and have fed him/her three times. When I got Monty he/her had been fed the day before and when I got him/her home it had a movement the next day. I have fed him/her three times myself since then and no movements afterwards. Is this normal? By movements I mean crapped.
Also how do you tell the sex?
Thanks in advance of any advice. |
