Hey, Just joined today as I am thinking about getting a royal python. I have done quite alot of research and know all I need to do is persuade my dad. Not sure how to though, I only just persuaded him to get my only reptile a bearded dragon. My mum loves the dragon and my dad likes him to now we have him. It's just not so sure about the snake.
Another question is: Is a 24" Viv big enough for a baby python then move him to 36" as he will be a male. Then have 1 infra red heat lamp with a guard around it. 2 hides on each side? Few fake plants to make him feel secure and Aspen bedding? Temp at 90 degrees on 1 side and around 75 on the other? 50-60 Humidity and a big water bowl that has to be changed daily.

Thanks and I just hope I can get one =)

Thanks, I already have sealent for my bearded dragon viv,
Yea theres not much different in price so I'll go for that one.

And what do you do about the humidity? How do you keep it constant and at 50-60%

hi and welcome. personly i would go for the vx36, it will give you a bit more floor space and not that much extra in price. you will also need some sealant

Sounds like you know what you're doing :) try telling him that a royal python is basically a piece of furnature, they don't move alot or really come out too much so he's really just letting you have a big wooden cube lol
