Just though I'd drop a message to say hi, so you don't see my random posts popping up and thinking who the hell is this girl?!

Not really new to having snakes, had them since I was kid from the age of around 8. Had a beautiful pair of breeding corns. Sadly they were re-homed when my mum decided that she couldn't help out with the hatchlings amongst work and the 4 of us at school / hobbies etc.

Had a 'dry patch' for about 5 years but missed having them around too much, so got my 2 corns last year
Motley Amelanistic - Alan almost 2
Snow Motley Amelanistic - Niah almost 1

Then last month, I bumped into the breeder who used to take my hatchlings that weren't kept for sale. One thing led to another, and Last weekend I came home with a year old Royal, who's been named Heques.

I've got to be honest, I've never thought of varying from corns, but I just had to have him from the first time I handled him. He's absolutely fantastic, and I can't keep my eyes from looking into more variations of Royals.

Still keeping my eyes open for a Lavender corn, as when they have the right patterning, I think they're beautiful, but I do feel a slight Royal obsession forming!

Well.... That's pretty much all the info on me.. So much for just dropping in to say hi!!

Jayde

ye the way the motley patterning joins up and the overall pattern of her looks huricane like, might just be me, if you pop across to the corn snake forum and show pics there im sure someone can help and see if anyone agrees with me?

Thanks :D He's just had his first shed since bringing him home, and is so vivid now.
Ooh, hurricane.. do you think? Will have a closer inspection when she comes out tonight, but never really crossed my mind before, but then fresh eyes always notice new details!
Food for though!

hi and welcome to the forum
your corns and royal are gorgeous, i would say your royal is a normal but a very pretty normal
your snow motley corn i would say, and dont quote me on this, but looks very much like a snow motley hurricane

Umm, If I'm honest, I just thought he was a normal, but I'm not really up to scratch on identifying the variations yet, so would need someone to share their wealth of knowledge with me on that one!! Yeh Alan's a striking colour, will probably make a thread as my collection grows (which could be gaining another corn next weekend, as I viewed the most stunning triple het. today :) ) and get some more up to date pictures.
I'm sure it won't be long before Niah starts flaunting her stuff!! haha

They're lovely - is your royal normal or a morph (I'm no expert on morphs, but very high yellow colouring - he's a pretty guy.) And love the colours on Alan - he's knockout.

Wonder if it's female corns who are the shameless ones - a couple of people on here have said that their females have been behaving like mine - girls just wanna have fun eh?
Jayde Posted - 29/05/2011 : 12:32:43
Thanks for the warm welcome guys! I've no doubt I'll indulge the obsession throughout the years! I've yet to see the randy side of my corns atm, but Alan is a nosey little thing. The moment Niah is being handled or he hears the tank being opened, he's out with his head pressed against the glass, watching!!
Might aswell get a picture up, they aren't particularly recent probably, pre christmas (for the corns) but I'm sure more will go up with my time on here!

Alan before he went to the viv:

Heques:

His viv is looking a little basic atm, but there's a few thing on order I'm waiting for to make it a little more interesting :)

Welcome to the forum, you'll like it here if you have a snake obsession. I have one thing for you to look up 'blue eyed leucistic'
Beautiful.

I have a soft spot for cornsnakes, my corn was my first, I've not had mine a year yet but it feels like they've always been here.

You'll find that we are all shameless when it comes to photos and videos, the more the better so feel free to add as many as possible.

Hi, and welcome!

Ha, corns are shameless; they're terrible! Atm I'm surrounded by randy female corns looking for husbands - aaagh! Royals are much less trouble. True, they might forget to eat for several months in the year, due to their minds being on ... errm, sex, but they're a lot quieter about it.

Snakes, snakes - love them - and as you've clearly found out, they're addictive. Congrats on your new royal.
