I was looking at getting a radiator but if i got a light (ceramic) would i need mat or radiator? I am very unsure what is best for me (my peace of mind) that he is getting what he acquires |

Posted - 02/10/2011 : 10:14:01 since i started to use red bulb, things started to be better with the heat matt it's hard to heat all the viv, and that makes your snake to stick to it's hot hide or cool hide. (can't move around in his viv) IMHO. |

This thread has loads of info about setup - guarded radiator or heatbulb, whether infra red or ceramic, is much better than mat - if you want light to see the snake by, I can recommend infra-red, as it's invisible to the snake; any other light will stress the snake out if used by night as snake needs normal day/night cycle, and that's all the light they need - if your royal gets normal daylight he'll be fine; he's not like a lizard that needs uv light to stay healthy. Hope this helps. |
