In my adult pair the female is a lot bigger then the male of the same age, and in my younger pair, the male is the biggest. So make of that what you will. I do believe in general the female is the biggest tho. Temperament, I dont think theres any difference between them, mostly they are shy retiring pets, until feeding time.
Mine still scare me when they strike at the rat lol. |

Posted - 08/02/2012 : 22:19:07 Hi and welcome - this link has a lot of info -
http://www.theroyalpython.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=5183
Females are reputed to grow bigger than males - but in my experience this isn't always the case. I think temperament depends on the snake and how it's handled.
Breeders are cheaper than shops as a rule - and there will be lot of hatchlings about in the next few months. However, sources and prices will always depend on where you live - and there ARE good shops about, with reasonable prices. If in doubt - ask on here - a member may know of shop or supplier and be able to advise.
Hope this helps. |
