a nice lady brought them into where i work, she'd found dead mum and 3 very hungry and very cold little babies!
i'm syringe feeding them every 2-3 hours but they're just starting to lap at some milk from a saucer

one's marked with red nail varnish so he's Reddy, one's marked with tippex, he's Whitey and the other one isn't marked so he's Brownie or Bluey depending on if i'm feeling patriotic.......... lol

I bet you end up keeping them. Have you named them yet?
Gingerpony Posted - 23/09/2009 : 17:55:21

we've got quite a few round here already and they get fed every night so they should do just fine when they're released

all sounding good, have you scheduled a date when you hope for a release, you'll have to take pics of them all with their wee suit cases and waving good bye.

Awwww I love hedgehogs! I found one out in the daytime just curled up on the front lawn where I used to live, so there was obviously something wrong with him. I donned some garden gloves (not for the spines obviously... for the fleas and ticks!) and popped him in one of the spare ferret hutches. There was a hedgehog rescue nearby who I rang and they came to pick him up. He really was infested with fleas and ticks... you could see the fleas marching about! It's making me itch just thinking about it. Quite common for hedgehogs though unfortunately . He looked quite aenimic from all the parasites the poor little hog.
Those three baby hoglets look nice and plump and healthy! It'll be great when they start troughing the food down from a bowl. When they are old enough they'll love you forever if you give them mealworms hehehe.

yeah they're on a mix of Hills a/d cat/dog food and goats milk, they'll take about 2.5-5mls every few hours by syringe but i can't wait for them to use the saucer lol
