well as im sure a few of you will be aware i was really worried as my little baby had decided she was going to fast, a few weeks went by with absolutely no success whatsoever, no eating at all
(im aware some fast for months) but i was worried none the less.
so as i was told by our local herp that naturally in the wild they will fast as when the weather gets colder they cannot digest their food so easily if at all so therefore to avoid stomach issues with fermenting mice etc they naturally fast until the weather gets warmer again, so in theory increasing the temp in the viv by a degree or so should (hopefully) encourage her to eat
well it would appear that this in fact does work, temps were increased by 1-2 degrees and low and behold she is eating again, now im aware this may just be a fluke and she may very well decide to say bugger you and stop again BUT so far so good thats 2 weeks now and 2 instant strikes, so HOPEFULLY we have avoided the inevitable fast for this year anyway, i guess time will tell
