I have my viv stack on the floor, nothing I do seems to bother my snakes, and when I hoover I usually get a nosey anery face poking out of his hide looking to see whats going on. They do feel these vibrations but they soon learn to accept it as normal in their habitat. My dog is a loon and runs about and jumps and bounces around and that doesn't bother them either I think once its not something new they soon realise it does them no harm and stay calm.

I have my viv-stack upstairs in my bedroom, we do hoover (somtimes! honest!) and my TV is mounted to the wall next to it, none of this seems to bother my snakes that I have noticed.

LOL - that's what my cats do!

Yes, as Blackskull says, snakes don't seem to be bothered by activities at floor level - erm, not that I vacuum that frequently ...

I wouldn't worry about the weight of a viv stack upstairs - when you think of the weight upstairs floors are built to take - heavy wardrobes, double beds with two people in ... As long as the stack's level and stable it ought to be fine - in fact it might be better upstairs because of the concrete downstairs floor striking cold in winter (I have this problem too.)

Good luck with your viv stack.
