Posted - 05/04/2011 : 12:08:34 David from this forum makes fantastic light guards, I got all of mine from him, he might be able to help. I've lost his email address but here is his members profile page so hopefully you'll be able to email him from that if you're interested.

Posted - 05/04/2011 : 11:55:35 I can't find a bulb gaurd !! I'm thinking to make one by my self, but i don't know the material used making it. Anyway, summer is coming up and it's too hot in here when it's summer [(30-40) C], so i don't think i will need it now. I'll search more and hope i'll get lucky to find when before winter comes :D |

Posted - 31/03/2011 : 17:43:12 is the top of the viv totaly glass? i have seen some viv tops, think they are used mainly on top of fish tanks, that are metal at the sides and a glass sliding part in the middle. if yours is like this then u could drill a hole through the metal to feed cable through and do the same for a guard and bolt the guard
sorry just saw your pics. could u not remove the glass sliding top and make a tight fitting wooden top, either mdf of chipboard |

Posted - 30/03/2011 : 16:15:31 Theres this one http://www.888reptiles.co.uk/productdetails.php?ProductID=3847&ProductGroupID=1770 not sure how you'd get a guard fixed to glass though, maybe the sticker things you get to attach the bulb holder would hold a guard |
