Posted - 01/11/2009 : 14:30:23 ugh seriously lee, you have to build mine for me. I keep getting the motivation to do it...then I remember the monstrosities that I used to churn out in woodwork at school... :/ |

Posted - 11/10/2009 : 21:54:35 it seems one mat cools faster than the other so when they kick back in there not starting off at the same temp.Getting seperate stats in a few days |

Posted - 11/10/2009 : 21:22:57 are the two mats running from the stat to an extension lead? it might be that the stat that is plugged in first is getting just that extra bit of power.? i suppose the way it is all wired up you can't really try putting the probe on the other mat to see what temps you get? |

Posted - 11/10/2009 : 19:30:13 I reckon I could still use bulbs if they were still 1' high, but it is a concern, yes. Will obviously have to experiment when the time comes. |

Just one point I can think of Lee, as the stack it back in an alcove, will the vents work?
this is something im keeping a eye on,i have fitted vents in he sides and there is a half inch gap either side.If this dont work i do have some 40mm vents that i was going to fit ino the front plinths but thought i would see how the side ones coped ,your so sharp eye BE
I was looking very closely as I think I may go down this route in the future to fit more vivs in and it looks excellent.
Royals don't need the height that my cunrrent vivs provide, so if I make my own I can reduce the height and fit more into the same floor space. |
