Posted - 01/09/2012 : 22:42:45 So I was looking through my records for Duke and he last ate 16th of June so he is officially fasting in my book. SO just a few things I do when they start fasting.
First one is a quick health check, check the nostrils, eyes, mouth (good luck with that one), check the skin over, and finally the vent. So Duke is all normal,
Next get him on the scales, keep a record of his weight and then you can monitor any weight loss. So Duke weighed in at 1552 Grams.
He is currently out for a bit, he isn't one for going very far he is currently curled up behind my legs, in the spot usually occupied by a dog, lol. He really is a big snake, stealing my body heat. Anyway as I dont really do a right lot with Duke when he is fasting so some final pictures before he re-emerges in the Spring.

Cuddled up behind my legs

he always does this between my legs, though it does show his size, I have a 37 inch inside leg.

Noseying at the camera.

Great pics, Duke is gorgeous
*Newbie question alert* When he starts fasting, do you stop offering food completely for a while, or do you still offer it just in case?
