She sniffs but not taking..and I know she had at least 1 feed before we brought her home. Only thing I can think of is Andrew said she took a rat fuzzie..and i'm tempted to try a mouse. She's a U.S import, so that makes me wonder whether she'll be more used to mice.

What do you think?

She's funny, had her upstairs and she was always hiding, brought her down and now she roams and pushes at the lid to come out :)

I have a young snake that'll only take rats. I offered a mouse yesterday and she wasn't in the slightest bit interested, luckily I also had a rat defrosted, offered it...she took it with so much force she actually split the flesh around the stomach.

Every snake has its own personal tastes, mines definitely rats, yours may be the same

Hi Rock,

lol I was keeping quiet cos I gave in and gave her a mouse, and here's the story:

There was a rat fuzzie in her faun, and she did all she could to avoid it. After a hour or so she started periscoping and hunting around as if seeking food, so I relented and dropped in a mouse.
I don't know her full feeding history as she was imported from the U.S. I know Andrew fed her 1rat fuzzie but possibly only 1 as she hasn't long been in the U.K, she's only 7wks olds. Once i#m happy that she is eating then the rats but no rush, Slinky was almost a year old when I switched him over with no problem :)

if shes taken a rat fuzzie why try and move to mice, would email the person you got it from and ask what he had been feeding it before jumping straight in with mice
