Hi guys well as the title says as of this morning I am very relieved indeed.
I posted a week or so ago that my first snake Cerberus had what seemed to be a burn on his belly, and since the vets were shut I took him to my local reptile shop, and after explaining that he'd been to the toilet in his hot hide, and to my shame I had missed it as a couple in the rack "went" at the same time, and after cleaning the other two I could no longer smell anything, so I assumed that was it. I had no idea how long it had been since he'd done it.
So the owner of the reptile shop thought it was more likely that it was a burn from the uric acid in his pee which made more sense cause every time I picked him up he still smelt as though he'd just wee'd.
Anyway he finally shed this morning and after checking his belly which still looked a little tender but after his next shed he should be A OK
any how I just thought I'd share the good news.

thats one thing i love about reptile keeping its one big constant learning curve.

i accidently caused my old rat snake to get an RI due to not having the heating setup properly, an expensive newbie mistake but one i wont forget

Thanks guys me too, mostly cause he's in my care and it should never have happened as I been looking after him for nearly two years now, but as the saying goes we can all make a mistake, but it's how we deal with it that shows us who we are..
