Posted - 29/07/2009 : 02:53:49 Hey folks, went out today all excited to pick up my wee royal from Angela (thistle reptiles) who Id like to thank for being so helpful and for giving this wee one such a good start!!! Got her home (still havent named her yet) and got her into her RUB which she explored fully for a good 2 hours before settling down in her warm hide. Shes very healthy and happy looking and was due a feed this afternoon which was missed as I had to drive her home and was told she might regurgitate if she had just been fed. She'd had a good 6 hours in her new home when I got home 20mins ago so I offered her a rat pup, and within 10 seconds this happened.....

What a strike it was too!!!!
Another 90 seconds and it was down the hatch and she was back in her warm hide all happy!!! After hearing about peoples feeding troubles Im so relieved! I reckon shes gonna be a greedy wee pig hehe
One happy snake owner |

Posted - 29/07/2009 : 15:36:48 Lots of things can hide under the bark, so I would personally. If you can get it all to 160C though (all the way through), you should be ok though. |

Posted - 29/07/2009 : 14:16:30 Yeah shes a very healthy snake, not doing much today though, just sitting in her hide all curled up, im guessing she wont do much for a day or two after feeding?
Also how long should I bake a piece of wood for to make sure its clean? I cut it from a live forsythia bush in my garden that needed pruning...
