I have decided to withdraw from the forums, as I am not able to get my snakes from ali, (which I am trully sorry for), and as I haven't owned a snake now for nearly 6 months, I feel I don't have any real place on here.
Goodbye to all and good luck with your snakes.
Scott.

I hope you manage to sort something out Scott, and either way hope you decide to stay. I'd be the only Northener if you went!

and did you know that a priv rented house can say no to pets like dogs and cats as they have a right to but cant by law refuse caged animals which snakes would come under, so id say tuff to her and get the snakes but put them in a room of there own and then if she comes round you can just close the door and say there in there,
by law she cant make you leave as caged pets dont count and if it went as far as court she still couldnt get you to leave the prop,
just thought you might want to know this as i had a sim problem with a landlord once and it went to court to try and get me out and they couldnt cause id signed a 18month agreement and there was no grounds to make me leave lol
you should still stay even if you still choose not to get them
spor Posted - 01/08/2009 : 21:39:42
by the blanket over them i meant just so see didn't have to look at them not really hide them LOL. but yes you would't want to do any thing to force notice being given, thats why i was suggesting looking at the contract. do you have any family or friends with a spare room. LOL.

Don't leave Scott - we'll miss you!

Does that mean your not meeting us tomorrow now? You should still come to York and then you can handle everyone else's snakes and then it won't be 6 months since you've had experience with them
wolfspirit Posted - 01/08/2009 : 15:45:54
whilst i agree that Scott could just hide them, it would not do him or his family ay good if he does do just That and his landlord decides to give him notice to quit, then not only will he be homeless but so will his family and snakes.

Send your landlord here and we can talk to her...lol

why did ya tell her!!!....n u rent the space from her thats as far as she should care.. what u do with that space is up to u.. so crack on n get ya snakes..

Agree with spor, unless you have a contract stating no pets then she can`t stop you having them. She is entitled to inspect the property if she gives notice so you couldn`t really hide them.
Gingerpony Posted - 01/08/2009 : 11:17:04
and TBH if she saw the size of these hatchies..... pretty coloured bootlaces!
spor Posted - 01/08/2009 : 01:23:19
Thats a bummer mate. Do you know that your land lord is not allowed to enter your rented accomadation with out seeking prior approval from the tentants. So you could always cover them up if she was going to be in the house. Did she agree before to allow pets in the house and would it be in a contract? Or does it stat anywhere that you can't have pets.? You still have rights as a tenant check out what they are. Keep them in your bedroom, she should have no reason to go in there ( unless you were short on the rent LOL). And as above, don't go!

lee2308 Posted - 31/07/2009 : 19:20:39
you dont need to be a owner to be part of the forum,as the others have said your advise is still needed by others and you could just stay for chatting.
