This is so obvious, the rat is twice snake's girth and the snake is underweight, the snake have no chance!! and they let it 2 hours without supervision!! this is so stupid and heartless !!! ...
if they didn't find smaller prey at least they had to supervise the snake until he finish his meal, i can't understand those people!!

That's... well I can't think of an appropreate word for it actually. How can they be so careless and so heartless? It's true, it's people like this that give us real, caring, pet owners a bad name. Snakes are not just some 'awsome' or 'cool' thing to have. They're a living, feeling animal that relies soley on us for it's health, it's securety... everything.

I agree that that snake, poor thing, didn't look like it was up to much. I agree that it looked underweight/dehydrated. And that rat... Now I keep pet rats, as most on here with know. I take in rescues, some of which have been breeder rats. But I fed Tig on defrosted rats, and my Pandora fed on the occational baby rat. So don't get me wrong, but that rat is in such a state... look at it. And what are they planning on doing with this said rat?

I know this may seen a very heartless thing to say if it isn't understood, but I think in the circumstances here it was the snake that was the lucky one...

It has been the case before that people have been caught through being as stupid as this and posting such things on places like Youtube. Lets just hope this is the case this time round.

Cause they look at it like its a game! I'd lock them in with an animal that's dangerous to them for 2 hours

The idiots sound like they are happy about it aswell like it is cool. Why would u be happy about your snake being killed
austin_89 Posted - 21/02/2012 : 00:05:38
That is disgusting...! Why would someone put this on YouTube?? I hate irresponsible pet owners! They shouldn't be allowed to own animals!!

Shocking. Have you seen the picture of the royal that had almost all of its scales chewed off by a rat? It's horrendous

Disgusting and irresonsible owners unfortunately give us snake keepers a bad name, worse thing is its not a live feeding issue, dealt with correctly and supervised live feeding is safe. Leave a rat 2 hours with a clearly underweight, and badly kept snake (bad shed) and this is what results.
