fed the jcp and boa first, they always eat. dropped the rats in with the royals, went for a shower and by the time i got out they were gone .
sully last ate at the end of october and clover last ate a couple of days after christmas, previous to that it was 16wks since her last feed.

Yeah, always a good moment when they come out of their fast.
I'm kicking myself because I left a rat in with Surahi a few days ago, and when I went some time later to check, it hadn't moved. Got the tongs to remove it and it was stuck ...had she moved and laid a heavy coil on its head? Lifted the hide gently ...and there was ratty, in Surahi's jaws.
But she's a shy feeder, and because I'd disturbed her, she gave up ...poor Surahi!
The rat was recycled by Buffy (I'm lucky to have a few large corns and a big gopher to mop up leftovers.) But although she's a big lass and won't starve in a hurry, do wish Surahi had eaten it ... |
