iv just had my royal out for a handle after leaving her for a couple of days. when i was doing the usual check over i noticed her eyes seemed to be 'cracked'. iv done a forum search and couldnt find anything about it here. nothing has changed with her setup (which she has been fine with for ages) and she doesnt appear to be in blue. she does seem a bit skittish but i guess that could be down to not being handled for a while? id put some photos up but cant get it to show up properly with the light. it looks exactly like cracked glass... im starting to worry a bit now as iv never seen anything like this with my corns.
any ideas guys?

As Danny said dehydration or shedding problem. What's your humidity? When was here last shed? Did both eye caps come off?
Always check sheds for eye caps it's the easiest way.

righto, just checked for mites, and all of my snakeys are clean from them (thank god) so i guess its the eye caps thing. il do some research on that then. cheers for all the help guys and gals! if anyone knows a really good, simple way of getting the caps off dont hesitate to give me a shout.
thanks again!

I've been reading up on mites and their effects and one of the complaints is eye trouble, although this seems to be more the outside edge of the eye, being dry and and scaly looking. Worth a good check for mites just incase.

Hi, just had a quick look in my copy of Kevin McCurley's 'Complete Ball Python' and it seems that this 'cracked' appearance can be a symptom of retained eyecaps after a shed.

I've never seen or dealt with this - I'm a novice too, but hope this gives you a bit more info.

According to K McC this can be dealt with successfully, and hopefully someone more experienced = MOD! HEEELP!! (Or not a mod, anyone who's done eyecaps!) will be along soon.

All the best.

nah, not like a dint (shes had fresh water everyday too, just so nobody worrys), shes a normal so she has black eyes, but when i looked at them today they had what looked like a 'cracked glass' kind of pattern of really thin white lines over them. looks just like the pattern you get if you throw a cricket ball at a pane of toughened glass.
cheers for the quick reply btw :)

What do you mean by cracked?? Do you mean like a dint in the eye??
If you mean like a dint, then it could either be undone to dehydration or going into a shed
