Since my snakes have had mites. I've put both into runs etc. stripped out vivs and cleaned both the tank n snakes regularly. Now looking I have none but will be safe n sure for another week. Or so.

But my royal has dry eyes and as looks to be a crack on one eye.

I'm keeping him hydrateded. And checking regularly.

But what is it? And an I doing things right? What else can I do?

May be a retained eye cap from last shed or could be a little dehydrated, mites do get into and around the eye so this could also be causing this , any chance you could put up a pic ?

Could he be going into shed or something as I think mites like to stay around the eyes so might be where they have been
