Yes buy tongs vey long tongs. Now that he has got a taste of you he might think you are nicer than some old mouse. Only joking, on a serious note though as the others have said the lose of tooth sohould not be a problem as for the feeding. just wait the 5days and try again. To be honest he was probably as shocked as you were so that may have been why he went of the mouse. Please accept my apology for laughing at the start.

I had a young royal that decided I tasted better than mice!!! Took me ages to convince her mice are better!!! She bit me while lunging for the mouse (and I was using tweazers) and for a long time after she would follow my hand and go for that instead LOL

i will have my camera ready next time, but i got my mum to purchase some feeding tongs while i was in work and i told her to get the biggest ones but she got the smallest ones, so im still a bit weary when i feed him haha. but hes eating fine now:)

Get some tongs to remove the relationship with your thumb lol, I'd wait 5 days & try him again, bare in mind in the wild they'd lose teeth more often so it shouldn't be a problem. Next time he chomps you don't pull away, but take a photo like I did with Tango lol
