my small male had a dent about 3 days after i got him he had gone from a heatmat to a ceramic bulb i think its the air drying out more than normal i put a dab of baby oil on some clean cotton and dabbed it on ( i read this ) and within about 4 hours it was gone i have no idea why or how but it did !

**UPDATE**

Got some more pics, its not really getting any better. Ive replaced her cool hide with a damp hide and gave her a wee bath. Ive also encouraged her to drink some water by putting the bowl in front of her face and she drank a fair bit.

Shes still eating so it cant be too bad, right? She's also now got a couple of dry scales on her head, or maybe I just didnt notice them the first time...

Heres a couple pics:

Cheers folks :-)

Will do amigo, I thought it was dehydration but it just seems weird that shes never dehydrated before. Shes always got a big dish of water etc

Ill give her a spray and try and sort out a damp hide for her.

Cheers

It just seems dehydrated to me. If you look on the first photo, level with her eyes there is a black marking in the shape of a "9". The scales there also look dry an dehydrated.

Give the viv a light spray down and give the snake a choice of a moss hide.

PS, setup is fine, 89F warm end with 94F spot, 79F cool end, humidity varies between 30-45%.

Basically the only thing that has changed recently is going from a red bulb to a ceramic...
