At last after almost five weeks, Montana finally ate. Don't know what changed her mind, not like i tried anything different, but I guess thats what Royals are like. Cant wait to handle her and see how much she weighs in the week, wondering how much weight she's lost....

Congrats on the feed - and if it's worrying you that much, take her out 48hrs after the feed, and weigh her. Brief necessary handling such as weighing is fine even if you're still waiting out the settling-in period.

Her not feeding is typical for this time of year, and in my (limited, I have to admit) experience of royals, she won't have lost much weight, if any.
