If your corn does his/her best Steve Mcqueen and goes awol, one of the things you can do to try and re-capture them is to make a bottle trap.

For this you will need a clean, empty pop bottle, a pair of sharp scissors and some masking tape.

Take the bottle and about a third of the way from the top make a snip with the scissors to make a hole.

From this hole cut around your bottle...

until you have two separate pieces, so you can flip the top so that the neck of the bottle goes within the body.

Like this...

Now use the masking tape to fix the pieces into place.

make sure all the sharp edges are covered...

and 'da daaa' your trap is complete. Place some bait within the bottle, whatever size mouse your snake is currently on, and leave over night in the hopes your escapee will find it. Placing the trap along the skirting boards is your best bet and usually once your snake is inside, they can't find the way out.

Good luck in catching your little adventurer
