Got a suprise clutch from our normal to bee pairing! Didnt even know she was gravid so had to do some hasty prep to get the eggs incubated propperly but im glad to say they hatched last week and we got a stunning bee with pretty reduced black patterning and another that is either normal or pastel. Looks pretty pale so im guessing a pastel. Id forgotten how tiny royal hatchies are! Typical that my first clutch would hatch whilst im out of the country but wifey did very well getting them from start to finish with minimal assistance. Feel like a proud parent all over again! :D
