Hi I took in a baby royal yesterday and it's got a bit of crust around its vent iv given it a bath and been cleaning it with warm water every few hours and idea what could cause this?

It's a little out of focus at the key place but from the coloration it's scale rot. Possibly brought on by stuck shed skin around the vent causing a build up of the bacteria and/or fungus. If there is skin there it needs to be removed which should be aided by the cream. You'll have to let us know what was prescribed, and how you get on. Keep a photo diary of the recovery it's always handy for other keepers when this sort of thing is shared.

Ok we went to the vet and she said she's pretty sure it's a build up of stuck shed they are ordering me some cream

cant see clearly from the pic but possibly looks a little infected on the one side, would be worth a trip to the vet's and see what they say an get some med's if needed
