Fader is a gene thats used by kevin McCurley from NERD, its something he has named. A little like his brand of Pastel`s are called Lemon Pastel. There`s no picture of a Fader on the world of ball pythons. There`s very little info on the Fader and very few tend to pop up for sale, Now im not implying that yours isn`t but personally i`d take what you`ve been told with a pinch of salt.
Its probably gone along the same lines as someone selling a normal as a "Dinker" hoping its got a little bit extra to bump the price, or when you go to a reptile show and all the lower gene morphs are Het Pied.
If your happy with what you`ve paid and you have a nice snake then thats all that really matters.
