Bless her - all the best for a good shed and you'll probably see a great improvement in the scars afterwards. Love the name btw.

thanks for the heads up not to panic if they suddenly look really bad. did read that they should go eventually. most of them dont seem too bad more like a white smear apart from the one in the last pic, thats the worst one. where there was an unguarded bulb it seems like she had crawled over it as all the marks are on her left side.
just glad ive got her now and shes got a new home with the right heating etc

Ah, poor lass. My Surahi, an 06 girl who I've had for a year, also has similar scars, on her belly. Her sellers were very honest about it, but couldn't say how it had happened as she'd been scarred before they got her. An unstatted heat mat, I'd guess.

The good news is that scars do fade with each shed, although I don't think Surahi's will ever go away entirely.

One thing that totally spooked me was when Surahi went into her first shed. Her scars looked twice as prominent, nasty in fact. I hoped it was just the shed and not something worse like scale rot, but arranged to visit a vet if needs be ...she shed and the scars were smooth and faded again ...panic over!

So if your girl's scars suddenly look more prominent it may be a sign that she's shedding and nothing to worry about. All the best with her.
