Went & picked up this little guy/girl today. Its only 8 or so weeks old & has fed twice in the shop since last Sunday after its trip back from Hamm. Its only taken little pinkies so far so will try a larger one on the next feed & see how it gets on.

I have also just experienced my first four snake bites...more like sucks really!! Its a fast little bugger & does love a strike, it even tried to swallow my thumb!

I'll get some clearer pics when its settled in.

Ok cool, i got some fuzzys & some pinkie rats in the freezer. I'll give it the fuzzys & see what happens.

Going by the pics id say mouse fuzzys would be about right for her
I would stick to feeding something as thick as her thickest part for now till shes grown a bit

Ok great, thanks chris. I'll step a size & not worry then.

yes they can eat some big prey for their size my ones neck is probably a bit thicker than a little finger and easily eat's day old chick's, he usually folds them in half as well

I just gave it a large pinkie & it was gone in no time, I've been reading that they can take prey three times the width of their own body without any trouble.

Anyone had any experience with this?

very nice rusty he/she will look even better after a few shed's.

yep they can be nippy when young it surprises me how long their strike range actually is

Thanks Boom, & it only cost me £95! Guy in the shop screwed up & said he would do a good price for me for being a good customer. Even after he realized his error he stuck to the price.
