So... Monty grows and progresses on to eating small rats reliably every time. Temporarily I can't get any and so I offer large mice... Um num num... mice is nice thinks Monty. That was months ago and although he shows interest in rats, he's since decided that mice are the only things worth eating now. 100% strike & feed on mice, 0% on rats despite a good look/smell first. He's 2 years 2 months old, 1450g and now back to feeding on mice, 2 per night over 3 nights then a break for a week or so until he gets hungry. I'm not concerned as he's feeding as reliably as ever, putting weight on etc. and I guess his tastes might change again, knowing him. But guess who's in charge of the menu? Best make sure he doesn't see my pizza tonight ;)
