just fed Ra. He struck at the mouse and was happily "killing" it, started to turn it around to eat it head first, and it's stomach must have exploded all over him. I looked up from feeding Helo, and Ra is now peering over the edge of his viv, looking at me, face covered in goo, with a biiig blob of mouse poo on top of his head. He does not look amused... lol. mouse has now been discarded. for now. honestly, the look he was giving me was saying: "look. LOOK what it did to me WOMAN!!! OOOOH so you think it's funny do you? HUH? So does YOUR food regularly poop on your face? WEll? HUH? ANSWER ME WOMAN!!!!!"
i cant :( i dont want to bug him, he's looking like he might not eat it now lol. he's sniffing it, but every time i go near him he looks at me as if to say "just for that, i am going to leave it, so that the whole living room stinks tomorrow morning."
on the plus side, Athena is chomping hers down again :D 3 times in a row :D (non feeder my a**e) This is despite hers exploding everywhere too... and hers STANK >.<
getting another male rat tomorrow, and an already preggers female. plus i have 3 pregnant female mice and a male mouse already (didnt really want them, but they were from my brother, he got bored of them. actually now i think about it... so are the rats.)
it's usaly cause by defrosting too fast so prekilled should be fine
hmmm i defrosted it overnight in the fridge, then left it on top of the viv for an hour, then put it in a bag and then put it in a mug of hot (not boiling) water, obviously i am just too fast for it ;) never mind, give me a few weeks and i shall become ratty murderer :D
