well it turns out that our new female that i was hopeing to breed with our male , 'parky' is actually also a male and has passed mites onto all five of our other royals , so we have had a fun and expensive week treating all of our vivs and buying new substrate etc !!!. unfortunatly i had to take him back to the shop but now have a lovely 3yr old female weighing 1500g shes a little head shy at the moment but she is gorgeouse we have called her ember.I will add some photos asap. thanks to everyone that said hello and offered their advise last week it was appreciated , i just didnt have much time to look at the forum this week due to the mites situation. alls well that ends well |

Normally I would say that mites absolutely rock BUT not when they are parasitizing our lovely pets. Glad you got rid of them. Good luck with Ember. Can't wait to see the pics |

Its a good idea to keep new snakes completely separate (even in a separate room if possible). |
