The opinion I always take is that there are no benefits for the snakes to housing together, but there are downsides, so why would you?
Yes some people do and will never have a problem, but there is always that possibility that would not be there if housed separately. |

in my opinion, if you are gonna go for it i would have said at sexual maturity to prevent any problems. approx 3 years for the female and a weight of about 1500g...
but you must remember that if you should have a spare viv/RUB available in case there are any health problems and you have to seperate them...

As above and as Daz says, having a male and female together too young can lead to premature pregnancy and the female not being able to pass the eggs - which can lead to her death. |

Hello Rebecca and welcome .
I wouldn't risk housing them together personally. I recently gave a home to a carolina corn that was in that situation and it turned her into a total stress head. It's a bit like Dog Borstal here at the moment with her but without the fur and legs . She'll get there.
As some of the others have said sometimes there are no problems but is it worth the risk. |

heya and welcome
your friend might have just got lucky, if you're aware of the problem you can then make an informed decision. the analogy i use with cohabiting juvenile snakes of any kind is that a 13 year old girl can get pregnant, but ask yourself if it's in her best interests, mentally, emotionally or physically? |
