I`ve just bought one of these from Cornish Crispa and it says "guards sold seperately" on the box. Do i actually need one though as i`ve seen them being used in reptile shops without any type guard in place?
If so where can i get one?

Ali (Gingerpony) on here uses them, she will know about the guards. Dave (Reptiles-Ink) on here can make custom guards to fit.

Yes a guard is worth while as they do get hot.
GP has a guard for hers that I made.
