After reading drew0z post, It reminded me of my adopted/rescued female Royal python that I called Stitches (you`ll soon see why).

This happened in May 2011. My friend phoned me and said he bought three 1.2.0 "dinker" WC Royal Pythons from a breeder/importer "fresh from Ghana"(note* he paid £110) and asked if I could come around and have a look at them. He believed there is something more to them.

So me and my other halve went over to his place to go and look at these Royals. Long story short, when he was about to show me the second female I could see something wasn't right and then I heard him say "Oooo %^&**@" I looked up saw the hatchling covered in electrical tape(or insulating tape). He used tape inside the the viv to tape down the probes of the thermostat and thermometer. And the Royal somehow managed to get under it. I did the best I could removing all access tape from the Royal but her skin were already badly torn obviously from struggling and fighting to get loose. Luckily I was there because he had no clue what to do.

I told him he have to take the Royal to the Vet first thing the next morning, I asked him to keep me updated. Next day he came around mine with the Royal and said the Vet removed all of the remaining tape and he gave her a few stitches. He asked if I would mind looking after the Royal for a couple of months until she`s healed and take her to the Vet for her follow up. He said I am the one with more experience, so I looked after and cared for the Royal like she was one of my own. Guess what, I grew fond of her and got a little soft spot for her. Here are some pics.
Now you can see how she got her name.

She only weighed 34g when this happend, we had to assist feed her for the first few weeks. And this happend once LOL Tanya got tagged again.

In this pics you can see how tiny she was.

Here`s a pic to show how nicely it healed.

Well I couldn't get it over my heart just to give her back. I claimed her for me! She turned out to be the cutest, friendliest and most docile Royal Ive ever seen and she`s my favourite from all my Royals.

Here she is weighing 1019g
