Hi all, unfortunately i'm being made to give up monty, he's approx 5ft long eats well except during mating season otherwise strikes every time, due to the fact that he has a built in viv he comes on his own, although your welcome to the guard, light and thermostat if you want them, he's used to being in a large viv and won't like going into a rub.If anybody is interested let me know, please text 07517207673. i don't answer to numbers i don't know.

As i said he's free its just bad luck that spent couple hundred building a viv into alcove, which means if you don't have a spare viv you've got that expense that's why not wanting anything for him as whoever takes him will have to pay for a decent size viv

What size viv would he need? Would a 3ft be too small?

3ft would be fine. I have the glass doors, bulb and guard and thermostat that you can have. For say ?50 you could buy the MDF, paint and vinyl tile to redo his viv

Let me think about it for a couple of days. I'm scheduled for a major operation mid-Oct so timing-wise, it might not be good.

Don't want to mess you about so if someone else comes along, don't wait for me to make my mind up. My heart is saying 'go for it' but my head is telling me that I'm not going to be in a position to take care of another snake as well as the one I have plus my two young children after the op.

I will let you know for definite by the end of tomorrow

Ah ok, no problem at all, that honestly saves me from making a decision!

It sounds like a great place that's taking him. There's a guy that comes to my children's school with reptiles to teach them all about the animals and he is amazing. The children love it as many of them will never have seen or touched reptiles before.

Sorry you've had to give up Monty but I'm sure he will be well looked after

Thanks for the tip about the babies, scorpio. I think I'm going to leave it now until after my surgery and recovery so if I do go for another it'll be after Christmas at the earliest now
