found what i beleive to be mites when i was handling my mojave baby today so made a quick dash to my local pet shop to buy some callingtons as ive seen people recommend it alot but they had none left and all the had was beaphar insect spray has anyone used this before and how do you use it as instructions arent that clear? guy in shop told me to spray snake tail to neck and let it dry but the dosing on instructions has me confused as it says 1 spray for snakes weighing 80-200g now is that one squirt each time you use it or 1 treatment and no need to repeat weeks later? and can this be sprayed in rubs and on logs and things to make sure i get them or is it best if i remove these till mites are gone?
also he is in blue at the minute does this make a difference? will treat all my snakes to be safe and the guy in shop said they will have callingtons back in next week so will go buy some of that too thanks carl |

I would strip the viv/rub right down, bathe the snake to drown any on it, spray the viv/rub and leave it to dry. When dry put snake back. I wouldn't be happy to spray chemicals onto my snakes and the bathing will get all the mites off the snake without chenicals being used. |

I used it and it was rubbish. Can't remember the instructions as it was well over a year ago but i do remember it didn't seem to make a difference. I gave up useing it and just bathed the snake and cleaned the viv daily until the callingtons arrived |

Think that's what I'll do i could only see a few tiny ones crawling around him and what looks to be a bigger one under one of his belly scales |
