Sorted! Had to break the skull using snips, fortunately apart from some scale damage she seems to be in good condition, shes off to the vet now for a check up

no doubt the vet will prescribe some costly medication and a course of rehabilitation therapy. |

Thanks guys the vet just felt her for any swelling and that was it, she said that in this kind of situation it's always best to break whatever they are stuck in, and if unable to then to manipulate the ribs to ease the snake through.
The vet said to feed her to make sure everything is working and that's it
So apart from some scale damage she's all good |

Glad she's OK. I've read a lot about how Snakes can compress their ribs in so they can squeeze through those sorts of gaps... not that it would matter much if that happened to me. I'd be all over the place wondering what to do : )
