My new royals head seems to have shed and nothing else???? Bit miffed she has a moist hide in as once I found the head shed I thought best to pop one in and moved her water to warm end to help humidity ect .Her temps are fine she's happy even ate yesterday but still no sign of anymore shedding?
Can this sometimes happen ?? And I've read it can take a while so her head came off 3 days ago should the rest follow suit soon ?
She has no bits hanging off her just a bit miffed lol .

I know ???? I've had her around a week so is it poss she had shed and just her head was left ?? I fed her yesterday morning so didnt wanna bother her today but will check tomorrow , if there were bits I'd bathe her but as there's not I don't wanna vex her for no reason , really strange I've googled it but no joy at all just the normal bad shed stuff ?
Weird isn't it hopefully someone may be able to shed some light on this lol xxx

That is strange could try putting her in a tub with a load of damp kitchen roll because she will rub against it while trying to get out of the tub so if there is any skin left on should get it off. Although she more than likely shed before u got her and left her head on

right well I got impatient and have bathed her,
she seemed to quite enjoy it.... but nothing come off or looked like it was going to??
But she did drink an awful lot of water when I first put her in and her scales do feel crispy especially on her underside and round her neck wrinkly , her eyes are bright not dented as you,d expect with dehydration and she seems happy still?
she has fresh water everyday in a large dish so I don't think shes dehydrated ??? but now im paranoid :S
Ive refreshed her moist hide and changed her water shall I continue to bathe her over the next week ????

I wouldn't bathe her too much lol now you have done it and she has the moist hide and stuff should get any old skin off if she has any.

its so hard to know what to do for the best as I don't know if she has shed and heads come off while Ive had her as it was stuck or shes now shedding and only head has come off??? and im in for a crappy shed ?
someone on another forum has said it may be a bad shed and the shed could be like fused on to her ????? and was recommending the pillow case rub method if all else fails ......but as I dont know if this is the start or a late finish I seem to have hit a brick wall lmao !

Normally if they have stuck shed you can see where it starts if that makes sense if you can upload a photo someone might be able to advise whether it looks like all the shed off or not

Right checked her today and I'm convinced she has shed her head and her body is to follow suit soon few ruff bits round neck so she has damp hide and I'm gonna pop a damp flannel on top of hot hide , she's spending a lot of time at cool end aswell which I know is a sign .
And she feels and looks different today all her temps are spot on , I'm just relived to have figured what's going on lmao !!
Tah guys for all your help though x

Hopfully she will still get it all off herself if not could be worth doing the old pillowcase trick to get any leftover bits off
