Hi there. Was just curious whether or not that feeding a snake in a separate tub or box other than its viv is a must.

As I fed my royal in its viv couple times and he's stills seems happy for me to put my hand in and not mistake as food.

Is it a must or just something some people choose to do. Thanks

Not a must at all - It's a myth in my opinion , I've always fed inside the viv none of mine are ever aggressive or defensive or expecting food etc.

One good reason to feed out of the viv is you have less rat guts to worry about when you have an over enthusiastic strike. As I feed in a separate RUB all I do is swish it around in hot water and disinfect it.

I feed in vivarium too, I've done both and I honestly can't say I've noticed any difference. I think the key to this success is the fact I dont smell anything like a rat.

Aye I started feeding in a seperate box too, all it did was stress out a snake which was verous nervous and might have actually fed if I didn't yank him out his home.
