                      | How Do They Do That
We all know that snakes have individual scales, so now my question is:

Individual scales so how is it that when they shed, they shed a layer of skin with no scales?

                      | The scales are acctually made up from folds of skin so when they shed it all comes off in one bit |

                      | It makes very little sense looking at a shed as its inside out, if you turn it the right way round you'll see what you see when the snake is wearing it. As to what the scales are Chris has it. Intricate folded skin, it amazes me how intricate it is when I see my corn snake eating and it stretches and you can see how it's achieved. |
