What should you llok out for? Sid eats every 5-7 days, we have been trying to find the right size food for him. He took a large mouse today but he's looking abit podgy, I think? |

Royals are naturally girthy, no wait, FAT snakes haha
Have you got a set of digital scales you can weigh him on? Or if not, any pictures? I doubt hes overweight, especially since hes on mice. You should, however, try and get him on to rats if you can as they're better for him and when he gets bigger you can feed him a single rat instead of several mice :-)

Yes they can, but not likely on a mouse every 7 days.
If you imagine a cross-section of the snake, it should sort of be 'loaf' shaped, if it is triangular its underweight, if it's more round its overweight.

Offer a rat (of similar size) instead of a mouse, it may just take it. |
