Right, Diego came to me with mites back in November.
He was treated with olive oil baths every other day for 2 weeks, was put on kitchen towel and had most of his decor removed. His viv was emptied every day for the 2 weeks, totally disinfected as was all the decor. After 4 days there was no sign of mite on him, though obviously I continued doing the disinfecting and bathing.
After 4 weeks I stopped with the disinfecting and bathing, and he has been free of mites until...
I got him out yesterday to try and feed him, and noticed a mite under a belly scale, so obviously they are back.
He has been given an oil bath, and will have another one today to kickstart killing the mites, but I'm going to get some different disinfectant- does anyone have any experience with the EuroRep mite spray advertised in the front of the feb 2010 PRK?
Will also see if I can get some frontline spray online aswell. |

aw no sorry to hear the mites have returned!!
sounds like you have caught them early though and you know what to do, having not had to deal with mites myself i dont really know enough about Eurorep Mite Spray to be able to recommend it or not, but im sure someone else can
hope you manage to clear them up again soon |

They wont sell me medicines unless they see the animal first and "diagnose" the problem. Its their way of getting more money out of me... |
