my royal is doing fine very active andeating well but ive just noticed one of his eyes has a dent in it its not dull looks normal apart from the dent , temps are 33 and 25 H50% what should i do ?

You could give him a 15 min bath in water nearly as deep as the snake and as warm as the hot end of the viv.

ok thanks ill try it tomorrow does it sound like a eye cap or a dent due to low humidity ? like i say the eye is clear i thought eye caps had to be cloudy

no, during ecdysis (the process of shedding) their eyes cloud over then clear again although their vision is still impaired, as a result a retained eyecap would look clear unless the eye was actually damaged or infection had set in - a possibility if left untreated.

I had this with a 3ft male royal! It had the dent when I got it so I gave it a bath in warm water then put him in his new viv with a damp hide (rubber tub with hole in lid filled with wet moss) n he used that for a day n it was gone!

a damp hide is a good idea, you might have to replace his usual hide...........maybe even both hides, to make sure he uses's it though

dumb question.

water deep as the snake sbody - 3cmroughly, or as deep as the length 18".

now i come to think of it obviously 3cm lol.

lol - yes. So that it can just chill out and rest on the bottom without having to swim the whole time.
