Sid is striking fine but he isn't happy with his hold and keeps letting go of it. If he doesn't strike close enough to the head. We've tried just leaving it in there but he's abit fussy like that and just leaves it.
Any advice we could try to ensure he strikes it properly.

First time i fed my python he struck but soon let go of the mouse..
I dont know why but i blamed it on stress, as there was 3 of us in the room, i tried him again 20minutes later with just me in the room and he was happy to eat it. |

Thanks for that but I've got him to strike 5to six times in a row but if he catches it wrong, he'll let it go after trying to swallow.
Just wondered if there's a way ~i can try giving him the food so that he's going to strike near the head? |

Are you super-heating the head to help him aim?
I heat the heads up with a hair-drier. |

| you could also try offering it to him head first, holding the mouse/rat in tongs by the scruff of skin on its back rather than dangling it by its tail....... |

| I agree with BE and GP really warm the head after a full defrost, if it strikes and then doesn't coil try picking up the food carefully with the tongs by the loose skin on the back and move gentlty and let them strike a second time. |
