You said she's only shed once...But she's an 08, do you mean she's only shed once since you got her? If so, how long have you had her? Do you know what her weight is as this information is needed to properly judge whether you are feeding her the correct size food, and how often you should be feeding her. In general Rats are better than mice as they have more nutrients than mice and also as your snake gets bigger she will require more food, you would have to feed many multiples of mice, compared to one rat...the rat would be cheaper and easier to do. I doubt the blood pressure meds would have any impact on her if she were to bite you either, but that's a comment based on opinion not fact. :) |

totally agree with MC, it would be better in the long term to get her on rats asap and the meds you're on are unlikely to affect you snake if it bites you as they don't suck your blood! |

A mouse for a 2 year old Royal would seem insufficient really.
1 shed in 2 years? - Yes something is very wrong! |

30-25 in the hot end?
What is the heat source and how is it controlled, that seems quite a range.
It sounds like she's ok on rats if she took 2, be more stubborn than her, don't give in and go back to mice |
