Hi just got my new royal yesterday went for a corn came back with brezer . will post some pic later. Take it is the 7 day rule for royals as well. |

hello, welcome to the royal keeping world looking forward to pictures, lol at u going for a corn and coming back with a royal python lol yes, the same applies to royals, 7 days, no handling, no feeding, although sometimes it can be more, i would advize that u do not handle your royal until it has eaten 2-3 times, it may be hard, but... i purchased my forst royal on june 20th, and wiated 3 weeks to handle as he refused his first meal and then fed 3 times after that, it will be worth it in the long run when u have a perfect eating royal |

I leave mine two weeks just spot cleaning then I try to feed, then once they've fed three times I pick them up :) |
Maybe it's not my weekend, but it's gonna be my year... |

Welcome to the forum Co & Breezer. Agree with the above advice - nothing but watching & spot cleaning for 1 or 2 weeks and then aim for 3 feeds before attempting handling; this should help keep stress levels to a minimum while your royal acclimatises to its new home. |
