Hi.
My name is Ashley aka snake girl.
I’ve kept snakes for the last 7 years but got my first royal in May.
His name is Raj and he’s a rescue from the proteus reptile trust. He was confiscated from his previous owner by the RSPCA as he was severely emaciated. He’s now back to his proper body weight and apart from being very nervous he’s doing extremely well and is a scarily good feeder.
As well as Raj I have a 1 year old corn snake called Nicole. My first snake Inca another corn died in February of this year at the grand old age of 14 she was a rescue as well.
I have a degree in animal management and specialise in reptiles and birds of prey. I’m in the process of post degree job hunting so if anyone knows of any jobs going.
I also have 2 dogs, 4 cats, and a horse.

Hi, Ashley - we've met already - sorry to hear about Raj being a rescue - poor guy. I only have experience of rescuing cats - well, they sort of moved in on me lol, and I have a corn with one eye (Cyclops) who I bought in case no-one else would - what a little madam! but the more I read of stupid people (to put it politely) buying snakes as some sort of fashion or social statement ... aaaggh! If I consider another snake, maybe I ought to google proteus ... perhaps it would be better to pick up the pieces than augment the snake pet trade?
