Hi, my name is Ray,from Formby(between Liverpool and Southport).Have kept Cornsnakes, ratsnakes, gophers, milksnakes,at the moment have 1 amel corn and just bought a female royal of about 11 months old,she is being kept in a 5ltr rub with a heat mat.Up to now (3weeks)she has not eaten but I am not to bothered having read how finicky they can be.Next week I will try either warming the mouse or "braining" it.Will be getting a viv to sit below the corns viv and will be seeking advice on double heating and double lighting for the vivs.Speak again soon...Ray

Hi, welcome to the forum.

You've kept gopher snakes too? I have just got one, a naughty girl with an 'attitude' I was told, but she's a great eater and she's just let me handle her for the first time, bless her.

I don't think you'll need double heating/lighting for your royal; I favour infra-red myself; others like ceramic, but it's up to you - lots of info and advice on here - this is a really good forum and has helped me a lot - hope you like it too.

Hi Ray, as BATS said, this forum is useful and it helped me as well
About the feeding thing, it's not really a thing to be worried about, alot of ppl here experienced this non-feeding prob. (Me right now for a 5 weeks), but from what i read here, royals get back to eat as soon as it settle down and summer begins , u just have to take it easy.
Anyway, welcome to the forum and don't hesitate to post any questions.
