First things first as they say and Hi to all on here. Also a big thanks to you all as i've been using this forum to research getting my first Royal and got loads of great advice. Well I finally took the plunge and bought "Claudia" 3 weeks ago. So far all i really know about her is she's female (hence the name). Tonight when she wakes up i'm gonna weigh and measure her for the first time. Judging by her rough size I think she either a late CB10 or early CB11. As i said i have had her three weeks now and in that time she has strike fed 3 times. so far she seems really keen to eat so I guess I must be doing something right. I'll take a few pics later and TRY to post them.
A little about me. I'm in Essex (no laughing at the back)and bought Claudia from Cold Blooded in Rainham for any locals that know it/them.
Claudia is my second snake, I also have an Albino Cali King - "Cali" so whilst i'm certainly no expert i'm not totally green either.
Well that's about it really. I just figured i should say hi before I start asking all the stupid questions i'm no doubt going to ask and all you guys N' girls wonder who the dope is. |

Hi and welcome to the forum and congrats re Claudia! (Love the name -I once had a cat named Claudia, but she was very wild as a kitten and her name should have been spelled 'Clawed Ya!' lol.)
There is no such thing as a stupid question, by the way - it's a learning curve for everyone - especially me - my first royal anniversary is in 6 weeks' time. It's a brilliant experience, owning snakes - oh, and welcome to Cali too - a king snake is something I'd have myself if I had the room (a comment you will hear time and time again on this forum lol.) |

Thought i'd add there are now some pics ( in the pic section - i'm getting good at this), And I weighed her and she is 110g and around 10 - 12 inches long. |

| Hiya Kempy, I know cold blooded, has a nice selection there and two really big Boa's :) I use Daves Reptiles in Dagenham. He may not be the cheapest around, but he gives a personal service and will stand and chat with you all day. Cold Blooded is just too busy a shop to have a meaningful conversation there. |

| Hi there and welcome Kempy. Im also in essex and a cold blooded user thats were i got my boa sonny.sound like you are doing alright and she is feeding thats a good sign. Did you get to the rep show a few weeks back?? may bump into you some time . |

Hey Sticks.
I knew i couldn't be the only one on here from Essex as we have a lot of good rep shops round here so there must be a lot keepers local.
As for the show, nah i missed it. The first i knew of it was about a week after it had been and gone. Hopefully by being on here now i might pick up on these things a bit better, or maybe i just pay attention more. |
